About Our Club
The Northern Virginia Alumnae Club is an award-winning club that has something to offer every Pi Phi alumna in our area. Founded in 1951 as the Arlington-Alexandria Alumnae Club, our club was re-chartered as the Northern Virginia Alumnae Club (NVAC) of Pi Beta Phi in 1962 with the mission of promoting a lifetime of friendship in Pi Phi. The Club has approximately 200 members from more than 85 different collegiate chapters from Alabama to Wyoming. Our diverse membership includes women in all stages of life, from recent college graduates to Golden Arrows.
We have monthly club meet-ups from September to May where we socialize, meet new sisters, learn more about our Fraternity’s heritage, and most important, have fun! Our meet-ups are primarily held in Arlington, Alexandria, and Fairfax County. Other events include a holiday cocktail party, philanthropy events, Golden Arrow luncheons, a fundraising gala, and a Founders’ Day celebration in April.
The Northern Virginia Alumnae Club also offers a number of interest groups — a fabulous way to be involved in Pi Phi, have fun, and strengthen friendships. In addition, we are very active with our local collegiate chapters. Many of our members also volunteer and make donations throughout the community to promote literacy.
It’s simple to join and get involved. There are so many different ways to participate — whether it’s on a committee, with the collegians, or simply as an attendee at one of our many events.
Membership is open to initiated members of Pi Beta Phi who are living in the Northern Virginia / Washington D.C. metro area. Dues for the year are $65 ($30 local and $35 national)
